Spectrum analysis allows
signals to be viewed in the frequency domain.
For higher frequency RF
signals, this may be the only way of viewing them, as they they
may be outside of the frequency range of an oscilloscope.
For lower frequency
signals, viewing in the frequency domain can provide information
that can not be found from viewing in the time domain.
